DPVR VR headsets continue to gain incredible momentum with another quarter of high volume shipment growth placing the brand in the top 3 of all manufacturers in Q1 2021.

Counterpoint’s most recent market share analysis for Q1 2021 shows that DPVR’s share of shipments ranked the brand in the top 3 for global volumes which represents more than 100% growth year on year.


VR used in education & training drives shipment growth


In comparison to other VR headset manufacturer brands, DPVR’s market share growth has come from the continued focus on the training, education, and enterprise segments. Virtual reality is being used in these industry sectors more than ever before as more and more companies realise the potential to create immersive digital virtual experiences for staff or students.

Counterpoint did point out that although there are many enterprises and industrial use cases for VR available now or in development that growth in the segment is slower than expected in some areas.
