To some people VR technology is thought of as maybe something very technical or too expensive. Although our range of devices can be bought by consumers or commercial enterprises at very affordable prices under USD$1,000 and be applied to so many different types of scenarios.

We have been amazed at how schools, universities and even eye therapy companies like Vivid Vision have used our products to help people in their daily lives. So to see the growth results is not surprising as the use of VR becomes more common.

Based on IDC’s forecast, the worldwide virtual reality headset industry, both standalone VR and PC-tethered VR, will see rapid growth over the next 5 years. Most of this growth is expected to come from stand alone VR headsets with this segment expected to reach over 22 million units by 2025.

While the use of Virtual Reality (VR) headsets has been considered the realm of online gaming, this cutting edge technology is now being used in many other activities in our daily lives:

– Corporate and enterprise training

– Education in schools and universities

– Health care patient treatment

– Occupational health and safety training

– Shopping centre simulator rides

and many other applications across different industries and markets. This is being driven by the advances in software platforms or VR services that are broadening the use cases of virtual reality technology and the headsets that are used.
